Mary Quant "invented" and popularized the mini skirt and developed much of what we understand as mod fashion of the 1960's.
She opened her first shop with her designs in the 50's and was a leader in fashion and cosmetics from the 60's on and retired selling Mary Quant Ltd. in 2000.
She was born in 1930 and is a living fashion legacy.
